NTFS restore with GZIP

Postby pcouas » Thu Sep 02, 2004 9:27 am

Hi,

I have save an 17 Go NTFS partition with GZIP option,
when i tried to rerstore it i have following error message "Invalid compression level for old1.00" .
I save same partition without compress option, and i can restore it ?
I use version 0.6.4.

Regards
Philippe

Had the same problem. The solution was to select splitting the image into parts smaller than 2 GB when saving it. After that it worked fine. I am using RedHat version 9 with the lastest version of partimaged on the server and the latest System Rescue CD for the clients, both which use a linux kernal of 2.4 which does not have the 2 GB limit.

Hi,

On server side with partimaged daemon, i use an RHLE 3.0 on kernel 2.4.21.15 .
On pc, i use last version of syscdrescue with kernel 2.4.27.
It seems me this problme was resolved.
Ok, I tried.
