Cannot cancel in batch mode

Using batch mode the asterisk key ("*") does not react and so the user cannot cancel PI.
ctrl-s works fine so you can stop PI, and then close the window, but that is messy and leaves some processes running.

This was using a German keyboard. Any ideas?

I have the same problem : in batch mode, I cannot cancel. I tried with French keyboard and English keyboard, but there is no difference. Perhaps this is intentional ? CTRL S and CTRL Q work as expected.

Any idea ?

Like the Partimage man say:

* -b, --batch batch mode: the GUI won't wait for an user action
* -BX, --fully-batch=X batch mode without GUI, X is a challenge response string

The GUI/Program will not wait for a user action like stop, resume etc...

So, if you need stop the progran, don't rn in batch mode.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with that "solution".
The usage output indicates that the program won't wait for user input, not that it will ignore it entirely. The fact that it does not ignore CTRL-Q and CTRL-S also contradicts that interpretation.
It is very useful to be able to script PI such that it will start the image process automatically without user intervention; at the same time, it is completely useless (and can be harmful) for it to ignore the Cancel command.
