problem launching partimage

Hello
I have just downloaded partimage _ OS: Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat)
Partimage should be somewhere in 'System' but I cannot find it. No icon on the desktop, the 'search for files' tool is not of much help either. All I know is that 'Partimage' is installed on this PC but I have not yet found the way to launch it......

The terminal is your friend. To check if you really have it

Code: Select all

dpkg -l partimage

If you don't, install it by

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install partimage

Run it, even if it's not in the menu by

Code: Select all

partimage

If it complains, then

Code: Select all

sudo partimage
